Summary/Remarks
It was held that Section 3 of the Influx from Pakistan (Control) Act, 1949 does not place an unreasonable restriction on the rights guaranteed to Indian citizens under Article 19(1). It was also held that the right only gives freedom of movement within India. This was held to not be the same as leaving India to go to a foreign country and then being required to fulfill certain conditions for re-entering India.
