Summary/Remarks
It was held that (1) The powers of the Governor General are co-extensive with that of the Dominion Legislature under Section 42 read with Section 6 of the Government of India Act, 1935.Therefore, the Governor General had the power to make laws in same fields as the Dominion Legislature. (2) The State of Baroda became part of India from the moment of its accession. Therefore the Influx from Pakistan (Control) Ordinance, 1948 extends to Baroda the day it became the law of the land.
